This is a painting of Jun Seba (Nujabes), a great Japanese hip-hop producer who passed away in a car accident on February 26, 2010. I painted the majority of this in 2010, but then left it unfinished for ~2 years, and finally started working on it again in January 2013, then finished it tonight. Tomorrow will be 3 years since his passing, RIP.

Sketches from book #16 / #17
Some of these photos are poor quality because I lost the original photos I took (hdd died) & I had to extract lower quality versions from ones that I had uploaded to facebook (because extracting the old photos is much easier than re-photographing), so some of the photos don't look any better in high resolution due to .jpg distortion... I need re-photograph them and upload better quality versions later on - not sure when I will get to doing that...

Some sketches from sketchbook #15
Here are some poor quality photos taken w/ my laptops webcam of some recent sketches - sorry for the bad quality / fingers in photos. - could not find the charger for my digital camera, might take the time to use a scanner later for better quality (you can't see the hatching / line quality well in these photos)...

It's been a while since I've updated my blog...
I've been pretty artist-blocked this past year and have not finished many pieces, but here are a few works that I haven't posted up:
Campfire Jam, June 2010:
Untitled, November 2009:
Thumb study, sketchbook drawing:
Also this year I was one of two 1st place winners for ON3P Skis "worst topsheet ever contest" (they could not decide on only one winner out of all the entries, so they made two 1st place winners). Winning a pair of one-of-a-kind custom skis! (191cm ON3P Caylors).
My concept was Stephen Hawking skiing on ON3P '09 Caylors*, to be put onto a pair of ON3P '10 Caylors. My idea came to me the night before a 9am class, I ended up getting out of bed and working on the computer from around 12am till 4am in the morning to create the graphic.
The drawing in the graphic was intentionally drawn poorly. Here was my submission:
Here are pictures of them being made in the ON3P factory:
My skis on the right, next to the stock 191cm '10 Caylors:
Close up:
Thanks so much to ON3P Skis for hooking it up! & Thanks to Stephen Hawking for being a brilliant mind, and source of inspiration. Now I just I can't wait for the ski season, Mr. Hawking and I will be tearing up the white fluffy pow!
LET IT SNOW!

Recent sketches from Sketchbook #12
I just took some photos of some pages in my sketchbook, it's night time so the photos are poor quality, I plan to use a scanner later for better pictures.
